Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and transport up to 30 pounds
- basic cash handling skills
- must hold a current Food Handler Card
- knowledge of alcohol service laws
- good manual dexterity
- basic English proficiency
- availability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- adherence to company grooming standards
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages
- basic mathematical skills for cash handling and portion understanding
- basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
- manual dexterity to use knife and handle beverage equipment
- ability to communicate and understand English
- ability to apply product labeling instructions
- ability to remember and promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee maker
Job Duties
- Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promotes and documents orders for drinks
- mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- maintains proper and adequate bar setup daily
- requisitions and stocks beer, wine, spirits, paper products, condiments and produce
- maintains stock, cuts and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables
- receives and handles cash from guests, verifies charges, records transactions and balances all monies
- locks up and secures beverages, food and equipment and deposits cash drops
- answers bar phone promptly and takes room service orders
- inputs orders into register and creates checks for guests and personnel
- performs general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products
- adheres to company policies and safety procedures
- follows fire prevention and emergency protocols
- utilizes protective equipment and reports unsafe conditions
- maintains a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- performs related duties as requested by supervisor
- assists other beverage personnel when needed
