Job Requirements

Must have experience in bartending or mixology
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Must possess and maintain required local alcohol service certifications
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be physically able to stand for entire shifts and lift heavy objects
Must be able to operate POS systems and handle cash accurately
Must maintain neat grooming and comply with company dress code
Must be able to effectively handle difficult guest situations and escalate as needed
Must demonstrate strong personal ownership and accountability

Job Qualifications

Be dressed neatly and well groomed in company approved dress code
Ability to mix drinks quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, high volume environment
Follow standards of responsible service of alcohol
Meet local jurisdiction requirements including obtaining necessary certifications
Ability to operate POS system, make change correctly, and process credit card transactions
Ability to calmly respond to angry guests and notify a manager
Ability to pass initial and annual validation
Ability to respond clearly to guests’ requests
Ability to hear well among loud background noise
Ability to frequently lift 30 lb cases and carry short distances, including stairs
Ability to stand during entire shift
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, shake, stir and wipe
Ability to frequently immerse hands in hot water every five minutes

Job Duties

Maintain a warm, welcoming corner bar atmosphere
ID all guests ordering alcoholic beverages who appear to be 40 years old or younger
Properly and promptly prepare, garnish, and serve drinks to guests
Engage with guests by making drinks in front of them using flair
Know the menu and make appropriate beverage and food recommendations
Upsell guests on food or drink items when appropriate
Keep a clean, organized bar area
Accurately ring up all orders in the POS system while maintaining ability to socialize with guests
Follow all relevant brand standards for service
Promote specials and build a regular clientele by increasing guest counts
Strictly adhere to responsible alcohol service standards and manage intoxicated guests appropriately
