Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior experience in customer service or restaurant environment preferred
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and maintain composure under pressure

Job Qualifications

Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests
have basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
possess basic math skills and ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
be able to work standing for long periods
be able to safely lift and maneuver trays weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds

Job Duties

Welcome and greet guests
make all guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them
inform guests of specials and menu changes
make recommendations guests will enjoy
answer questions about food, beverages and restaurant services
take food and beverage orders and enter them in the point-of-sale system
deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner
perform side work at the start and end of each shift
maintain clean service areas
monitor and observe guests dining experience to ensure satisfaction
respond promptly and courteously to requests
prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment and process credit card charges or make change
assist fellow servers as needed
assist bus person with clearing and resetting tables
thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operation as directed by manager or supervisor
