Job Requirements
- Must possess Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire
- high school diploma or equivalent
- six months of customer service and/or fine dining required
- may be required to work nights or weekends
- must be able to lift a tray weighing up to 20lbs
- must be able to reach, bend, and stoop
- punctuality and regular and reliable attendance

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- six months of customer service and/or fine dining experience
- prior experience in a private club and/or resort preferred
- proficient knowledge in food and beverage service
- proficient knowledge of restaurant operations, service procedures and function
- proficient knowledge of alcohol types and their characteristics, including how to serve and pour them accurately
- proficient skills in service orientation, complex problem solving, judgment and decision making, time management, active listening and speaking
- ability to take orders and properly deliver to appropriate tables
- ability to handle money and operate POS register
- excellent manual dexterity
- strong oral comprehension and expression
- keen problem sensitivity and detail orientation
- punctuality and regular attendance
Job Duties
- Provides immediate attention to members and guests upon arrival to ensure a quality dining experience
- mixes cocktails and other alcoholic beverages according to recipes or member/guests’ requests
- serves wine, beer and other drinks ensuring drinks are prepared and served correctly, including proper glassware and temperature
- prepares fruit and other garnishes for drinks
- verifies customer age and ensures responsible alcohol service
- assists with bar inventory management and ordering supplies, including stocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and other supplies
- participates in bar training and development programs
- processes food and beverage checks daily verifying the accuracy of prices, state and federal taxes, tips, and all other charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures
- performs and completes assigned side work tasks for opening procedures to ensure smooth operation of services
- attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Food & Beverage Manager
- suggests menu items and recites the soup of the day and chef's special to members and guests
- coordinates food service taking members’ and guests’ orders, follows sanitation requirements, safety, accident and emergency policies and procedures as sanctions to ensure compliance with all state, local, and club laws
- maintains a clean and organized bar area
- suggests and serves dessert, coffee, etc
- assists other servers in their tasks as needed
- performs clean-up and end of shift closing duties
- completes special projects as assigned
- performs other duties as assigned or required
