  • able to operate bar equipment safely

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a bartender in a high-volume setting
  • flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays
  • valid alcohol certification
  • ability to follow recipes including measuring and mixing ingredients
  • ability to prepare ingredients for service such as cutting, peeling and stuffing
  • skill in labeling and stocking all bar ingredients and garnishes
  • knowledge of operating equipment and bladed tools safely
  • effective communication skills in English both verbal and written
  • elevated knowledge of wine, spirits and beer
  • experience serving food and ability to describe and make menu recommendations
  • highly developed interpersonal skills
  • basic bookkeeping knowledge
  • working knowledge of point-of-sale systems
  • high level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods
  • ability to maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to execute opening and closing procedures
  • ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Prepare alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for bar patrons and restaurant guests
  • interact with customers
  • take food and drink orders
  • serve guests with a warm, friendly smile
  • ensure guest retention
  • clean and sanitize bar area
  • complete side work and teamwork tasks
  • report thoroughly to management
  • handle cash and credit payments responsibly
