Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a bartender in a high-volume setting
- flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays
- valid alcohol certification
- ability to follow recipes including measuring and mixing ingredients
- ability to prepare ingredients for service such as cutting, peeling and stuffing
- skill in labeling and stocking all bar ingredients and garnishes
- knowledge of operating equipment and bladed tools safely
- effective communication skills in English both verbal and written
- elevated knowledge of wine, spirits and beer
- experience serving food and ability to describe and make menu recommendations
- highly developed interpersonal skills
- basic bookkeeping knowledge
- working knowledge of point-of-sale systems
- high level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods
- ability to maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to execute opening and closing procedures
- ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Job Duties
- Prepare alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for bar patrons and restaurant guests
- interact with customers
- take food and drink orders
- serve guests with a warm, friendly smile
- ensure guest retention
- clean and sanitize bar area
- complete side work and teamwork tasks
- report thoroughly to management
- handle cash and credit payments responsibly
