Job Description

Red Lobster is a renowned seafood restaurant chain with a rich history that dates back over fifty years. Originally started as a family-owned business with a vision to connect people with the coast and its seafood, the company has grown into a family of more than 500 restaurants across various locations. Each restaurant embodies the founding passion to create memorable dining experiences by serving exceptional seafood dishes in a welcoming environment. This establishment is more than just a place to eat and work; it’s a vibrant part of the communities it serves, where customers become regulars and new friends are made. The company is committed to inclusivity and equality, ensuring a supportive and welcoming workplace for all employees regardless of age, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status.

The role of Bartender at Red Lobster offers an exciting opportunity to be part of this longstanding legacy. As a critical member of the restaurant team, bartenders help create a warm and enjoyable atmosphere for guests by providing excellent customer service and expertly crafting beverages. This position features competitive wages with weekly pay, flexible scheduling options, and access to a variety of employee benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at under $10 per week. Additional benefits include life insurance, short-term disability coverage, voluntary benefits, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year of service, anniversary pay (based on eligibility), discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest.

This bartender role entails more than just mixing drinks; it involves engaging guests with friendliness and professionalism from the moment they are seated, ensuring their experience is seamless and enjoyable. Responsibilities extend to preparing and stocking the bar area before service, suggesting drink, appetizer, and dessert pairings to enhance guests’ meals, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards pertaining to food and beverage handling. Bartenders also take accurate food and beverage orders via the POS system, monitor customer satisfaction throughout their visit, handle timely delivery and payment processing, and uphold all company policies related to health and safety.

Physically, the job demands the ability to stand for extended periods (8 to 12 hours), bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift up to 30 pounds. Candidates must meet minimum age and legal work authorization requirements in the United States. The role requires teamwork, strong attention to detail, multitasking aptitude, and a positive attitude to contribute to the successful operation of the restaurant.

With ambitious plans for growth and innovation, Red Lobster encourages motivated individuals to join their team and build a rewarding career in the hospitality industry. The company’s dedication to employee development through training and career advancement opportunities makes it an excellent place for those seeking to grow professionally while delivering exceptional service to guests.
