Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- TIPS certification or equivalent required
- Must meet all state and local age requirements for serving alcohol
Job Qualifications
- Strong mixology skills with knowledge of a wide range of beverages
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
- Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and responsible alcohol service
- Positive, guest-focused attitude and a proactive approach to hospitality
- Team player with the ability to lead when required
- Attention to detail in presentation and inventory management
- Previous bartending experience in a hotel, bar, or restaurant environment preferred
- Experience with cash handling, POS systems, and bar setup/teardown
- Familiarity with food pairing and cross-selling techniques considered a plus
- Capable of working independently or as part of a larger service team
Job Duties
- Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks
- Serve wine draught, bottled beer, non-alcoholic beverages and food
- Collect money for drinks served
- Order and requisition liquors and supplies, stock and replenish glasses, beverages, mixes, fruit, and guest supplies
- Place bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display
- Wash glasses, bar, and equipment
- Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
- prepare appetizers, such as pickles, cheese and cold meats
- Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
- If functioning in a lead capacity, take responsibility for assigned associates in the absence of the Supervisor, assign work, and ensure proper performance of assigned associates
- Other duties as assigned
