As a Bartender, you will be the front-line ambassador for Red Lobster's friendly and welcoming environment. Your primary responsibility is to greet guests with genuine smiles as they are seated in your area, setting the tone for a positive dining experience. Preparing the bar area involves organizing pour stations, glassware, and restocking beverages, mixes, and garnishes before opening, ensuring everything is in place for efficient service. You will use your knowledge and skills to suggest drinks, appetizers, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and sales.
The bartender's role includes crafting drinks to exact recipes, maintaining consistency in quality, presentation, and garnish. Taking and accurately entering food and beverage orders into the POS system is essential for timely service and order accuracy. Alongside serving drinks, attentive check-ins with guests during their visit to provide refills and clear empty items help maintain a clean and comfortable dining environment. Timely delivery and settlement of checks contribute to overall guest satisfaction, ending each interaction with a thank you and invitation to return.
Adherence to all food safety standards and company policies is critical to ensure guest safety and compliance. The job does require physical stamina, including the ability to bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift up to 30 pounds as well as standing for shifts that last between 8 to 12 hours. Being a team player with strong attention to detail and multitasking skills are valuable traits for success in this fast-paced role. Job Duties
- Welcoming guests and greeting every guest with a smile when they are seated
- Setting up the bar including pour and glassware stations prior to opening and limited restocking beverages mixes garnishes as needed
- Suggestively selling drinks appetizers and desserts
- Making all drinks to standard using the recipe glassware and garnish
- Accurately taking food and drink orders and entering orders into the POS properly
- Checking back with guests throughout the experience to provide refills as needed and clearing any items from the table
- Delivering and settling the check in a timely manner thanking guests and inviting them to return
- Following all food safety standards
