Job Requirements

  • Meet minimum age to serve alcohol
  • positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance
  • exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • strong task and time management abilities
  • eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques
  • ability to lift 40 lbs
  • ability to work long hours, evenings, holidays, and weekends
  • ability to remain on feet the majority of the workday

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry preferred
  • have 2+ years of bartending/serving or related experience in a full service restaurant
  • have a current food handler's card and alcohol service certification as required by federal/state/local law
  • meet minimum age for preparing and serving alcoholic beverages
  • have basic knowledge of food and beverage service/hospitality
  • have excellent customer service skills
  • high school diploma or GED
  • additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be required

Job Duties

  • Welcoming members and guest, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders
  • planning drink menus and informing members and guest about new beverages and specials
  • selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to members and guest
  • checking identification to ensure members and guest are legal age to purchase alcohol
  • taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked
  • adhering to all food safety and quality regulations
  • maintaining a clean work area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment
  • developing new cocktail recipes
