Job Requirements

  • Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training required
  • at least one year of related experience preferred
  • must be at least 18 years or older to serve alcoholic drinks
  • frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms
  • occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach overhead
  • ability to complete orders quickly and accurately
  • must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at a time

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of drink preparation and service
  • exceptional interpersonal, oral, and presentation skills with focus on serving customers
  • ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment
  • ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons
  • ability to learn point of sales systems and software

Job Duties

  • Receive orders from patrons or waitstaff
  • prepare and serve liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered
  • ensure that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar
  • maintain bar spaces and keep them clean and organized
  • attractively display glasses, liquor, and other bar items so its pleasing for guests to look at
  • collect payments from guest for drinks prepared and served
  • ensure that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo id's
  • utilize proper judgment and discretion, when necessary, refuse service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive
  • perform all other duties as assigned
