Job Description

Job Requirements
- Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training required
- At least one year of related experience preferred
- Must be at least 18 years or older to serve alcoholic drinks
- Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately
- Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at a time
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach overhead
Job Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of drink preparation and service
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and presentation skills with focus on serving customers
- Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons
- Ability to learn Point of Sales systems and software
Job Duties
- Receive orders from patrons or waitstaff
- Prepare and serve liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered
- Ensure that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar
- Maintain bar spaces and keep them clean and organized
- Attractively display glasses, liquor, and other bar items so its pleasing for guests to look at
- Collect payments from guests for drinks prepared and served
- Ensure that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs
- Utilize proper judgment and discretion, when necessary, refuse service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive
