Job Requirements

  • Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training required
  • At least one year of related experience preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years or older to serve alcoholic drinks
  • Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately
  • Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at a time
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach overhead

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of drink preparation and service
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and presentation skills with focus on serving customers
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons
  • Ability to learn Point of Sales systems and software

Job Duties

  • Receive orders from patrons or waitstaff
  • Prepare and serve liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered
  • Ensure that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar
  • Maintain bar spaces and keep them clean and organized
  • Attractively display glasses, liquor, and other bar items so its pleasing for guests to look at
  • Collect payments from guests for drinks prepared and served
  • Ensure that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs
  • Utilize proper judgment and discretion, when necessary, refuse service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive
