Job Requirements

  • be able to stand, walk, reach, bend, etc. for extended periods of time
  • be able to lift up to 35 pounds
  • have basic math and computer skills
  • be available to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and late hours
  • have current Illinois food handler's and Basset certifications, or be willing to obtain those within seven days of hire

Job Qualifications

  • exhibit a working knowledge of bar equipment, standard drink recipes, and spirits, wine and beer
  • understand classes of alcohol, different glasses, brand names, and garnishments
  • demonstrate knowledge of state and local alcohol serving laws
  • possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle difficult situations with poise
  • demonstrate strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
  • possess or be willing to obtain relevant food handling and Basset certifications within seven days of hire

Job Duties

  • prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with club standards
  • maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area
  • interact with members and guests, taking orders, and ensuring they feel valued and appreciated
  • offer menu recommendations and answer any questions related to beverages
  • ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • process payments and handle transactions accurately and securely
  • maintain a positive and professional demeanor
  • stay up to date with mixology trends and introduce new ideas to enhance the beverage menu
