Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old to pour alcohol or as state regulations dictate
  • successful completion of company-required training including safety, systems, menu, and alcohol certification within 60 days of employment
  • adheres to company appearance standards
  • physical ability to perform activities such as lifting, walking, bending, kneeling, handling, reaching, squatting, climbing, and stooping
  • ability to distinguish between colors and exercise peripheral vision
  • ability to hear and communicate effectively face-to-face and via telecommunications

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • experience in bartending preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of standard drink recipes and bar equipment
  • ability to follow health and safety regulations
  • proficiency with Point-of-Sale systems
  • ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Check guests’ identification and serve alcoholic drinks adhering to state and local regulations
  • mix ingredients to prepare drinks, serve draft beer, bottled beer, wine and liquor according to procedure/recipe and restaurant specifications
  • perform correct money transactions and make correct change utilizing Point-of-Sale system
  • communicate with guests and team members to promote specials and suggestions
  • reconcile daily bar inventories with bar cash-received totals
  • maintain neat, clean and organized bar area according to restaurant specifications
  • perform cleaning duties including mopping, glassware cleaning, and removal of floor mats
