Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years old to pour alcohol or as state regulations dictate
- successful completion of company-required training including safety, systems, menu, and alcohol certification within 60 days of employment
- adheres to company appearance standards
- physical ability to perform activities such as lifting, walking, bending, kneeling, handling, reaching, squatting, climbing, and stooping
- ability to distinguish between colors and exercise peripheral vision
- ability to hear and communicate effectively face-to-face and via telecommunications
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience in bartending preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- knowledge of standard drink recipes and bar equipment
- ability to follow health and safety regulations
- proficiency with Point-of-Sale systems
- ability to work effectively within a team environment
- customer service orientation
Job Duties
- Check guests’ identification and serve alcoholic drinks adhering to state and local regulations
- mix ingredients to prepare drinks, serve draft beer, bottled beer, wine and liquor according to procedure/recipe and restaurant specifications
- perform correct money transactions and make correct change utilizing Point-of-Sale system
- communicate with guests and team members to promote specials and suggestions
- reconcile daily bar inventories with bar cash-received totals
- maintain neat, clean and organized bar area according to restaurant specifications
- perform cleaning duties including mopping, glassware cleaning, and removal of floor mats
