Job Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
must be open and willing to learn new things
must be flexible, adaptable, and a team player
must follow all health department, TABC, City and County alcohol requirements and maintain a clean working environment
understands and supports the Typhoon Texas Culture
uses excellent judgement and follows the Typhoon Texas Austin alcohol and tip policy
identifies problems and works quickly to find solutions
works effectively with others, on all levels, in a positive and professional manner
has excellent communication skills which includes the ability to use clear, concise, and grammatically correct written and oral language in interactions with guests, fellow team members, and management
this position may require you to work in other positions, locations, and/or departments if needed
must be willing to complete all tasks given by Typhoon Texas leadership
if you do not have a Typhoon Texas approved and current Food Handler's Permit and/or TABC Certification, you will be required to obtain one at your expense

Job Qualifications

May be required to stand for extended periods of time
may be required to lift 20-50 lbs
may be required to be exposed to direct sunlight, hot temperatures, or rain
must be able to multi-task and be flexible in a fast-paced environment
must be able to work well with others
must be able to communicate effectively
must have or be willing to obtain the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission Alcohol Seller/Server Certification
must have or be willing to obtain a Food Handler's Permit

Job Duties

Work collaboratively with servers, leadership, and other team members
knowledgeable on all specialty cocktails and beer
knowledgeable on all liquor we carry
greet all guests with enthusiasm and a smile
prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards
maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including tools, glassware, and supplies
restock bar inventory and communicate supply needs to leadership
monitor guest consumption and respond appropriately to ensure a safe environment
accurately charge and pay out guest
ID all guests that look under the age of 35
assist with opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
