Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous bartending experience preferred
- knowledge of alcoholic beverages and cocktail preparation
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- responsible alcohol service training or certification
- basic math skills for handling transactions
- ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety standards
- teamwork and cooperation skills
Job Duties
- assist in the training and development of new team members
- cooperate and communicate effectively with team members
- handle cash and credit card transactions properly
- practice responsible selling and service of alcohol as mandated
- accept and facilitate to-go orders via phone or online ordering
- ensure security of all bar products and follow lock-up procedures
- maintain a professional image and proper uniform standards
- provide frequent guest contact and monitor guest dining experience
- thank each guest sincerely for their patronage
- maintain a high level of food and beverage knowledge
- prepare beverages according to recipe and use appropriate products and glassware
- manage stock levels as specified by supervisor or manager
- use standard recipes and methods to ensure consistency
- stay informed about and help implement ongoing promotions
- adhere to cleanliness and safety standards according to health department and restaurant policies
- practice food safety including controlling time and temperature, personal hygiene, and preventing cross-contamination
- follow proper labeling, dating, rotation, and shelf-life standards
- adhere to cleaning schedules and maintain bar equipment
