Job Requirements
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests
- Basic math skills necessary for cash register and making change
- Physical dexterity to handle garnishing and mixing tasks
- Ability to operate point of sale procedures
- Ability to work standing and in confined spaces for extended periods
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with others
- Adherence to attendance rules and availability for regular work
Job Qualifications
- Hotel experience preferred
- Ability to communicate well with guests
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and alcoholic beverage service
- Basic mathematical skills for cash register operations and change making
- Manual dexterity to prepare garnishes, handle glassware and bottles, scoop ice and mix drinks
- Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items
- Ability to operate keyboard and point of sale systems
- Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with associates and guests
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Job Duties
- Maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily including requisitioning and stocking of beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments and produce based on daily projections
- Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables to ensure product quality
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document drink orders, mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- Abide by all state, federal and corporate regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- Input orders into register at point of sale and create checks to maintain beverage accountability
- Receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record transactions and execute vouchers properly to balance money
- Lock and store all beverage, food and equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure bank
- Comply with attendance rules and be regularly available to work
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
