Job Description

Greenawalt Hospitality is a dynamic company specializing in various facets of the food and beverage industry. Operating primarily in the Alabama area, the company provides a range of premium hospitality services that include catering for weddings, festivals, sporting events, and other large gatherings. Their innovative mobile bar stations enhance the experience at athletic events and other special occasions, delivering exceptional customer service and a memorable beverage experience. Greenawalt Hospitality has built a reputation for advancing hospitality through motivated teamwork, dedicated service, and a commitment to excellence in event execution.

The company is currently seeking entry-level part-time bartenders, bar-backs, and wine servers to join their vibrant team based in Birmingham, Alabama. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in fast-paced, social environments and have a passion for delivering outstanding customer satisfaction. The role emphasizes working collaboratively with team members to ensure events run smoothly and efficiently while serving beverages responsibly and attentively. Applicants will benefit from a supportive environment that encourages growth within the company and offers quick payment, making it an excellent option for those seeking flexible part-time employment with competitive compensation.

As part-time positions, these roles require availability for shifts throughout the week, particularly on Friday and Saturday nights, aligning with the timing of most large-scale events. The company prides itself on responsible beverage service, maintaining high standards to meet client preferences while fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Successful candidates will engage guests, provide detailed product information, and assist in managing bar stations and equipment. This hands-on position demands excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a lively setting.

Greenawalt Hospitality supports employee development through comprehensive online training and certification programs facilitated directly by the company. New hires will complete training focused on safety, service skills, and company protocols, including mandatory SERV Safe Alcohol Certification to ensure legal compliance and responsible service. The company values reliability and accountability, expecting team members to maintain frequent communication via messages and emails and transport themselves reliably to various event locations. Physical stamina is essential, as the role requires standing for extended periods and handling equipment weighing 30 pounds or more.

Candidates accepted for these part-time roles will receive compensation starting at $12 per hour, complemented by the opportunity to earn tips and gratuity. Certain situations may also include travel or gas compensation, supporting employees in managing travel costs associated with event locations. Greenawalt Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer committed to fair hiring practices and treating all applicants with respect, regardless of race, gender, religion, or other protected characteristics. This ensures a diverse and inclusive workplace where every employee has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
