Job Requirements
- Be of legal age to serve alcohol
- possess state applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card
- basic mathematical skills and an ability to handle money and give correct change is required
- possess basic reading and computer skills
- possess basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, and familiarity with standard drink recipes
- must have excellent communication and organizational skills
- must be multi-task oriented
- possess knowledge of company’s food and beverage specifications and workplace safety procedures
- must have reasonable availability keeping in mind that most of the restaurant business is on nights and weekends

Job Duties
- Welcome each guest personally using enthusiastic words, tone, and body language
- make guests feel appreciated
- work as a team with all personnel in order to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service
- work with others to keep all areas clean and stocked to the company’s standards
- mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of the bar and dining room following standard recipes
- input orders into computer immediately, collect money from guests, make correct change and provide receipts
- clean and arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display
- wash and sterilize stemware
- anticipate guests’ needs and follow the half-full rule when offering another drink
- remain alert of guests’ signals and acknowledge signals
- check identification of guests who are consuming alcoholic beverages
- refuse alcohol service to guests who are not of legal age
- responsibly serve alcohol and remain aware of guests’ state of intoxication
- perform other duties as assigned
