The Bartender role at Margaritaville and Landshark is essential to maintaining the upbeat and engaging atmosphere that defines the brand. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of a specific bar area, focusing on delivering exceptional service to both external guests and internal staff. Bartenders at Margaritaville and Landshark prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring all drinks adhere strictly to established recipes and procedures. A key part of the role includes verifying the age of guests purchasing alcohol to comply with legal standards and company policies. This position requires a thorough knowledge of the food and beverage products served, enabling bartenders to use suggestive selling techniques effectively to enhance sales and guest satisfaction. Bartenders also take food and beverage orders, promptly deliver items, and operate the point-of-sale system with precision and efficiency, handling large amounts of currency while following proper cash handling procedures.
Additional responsibilities include monitoring and tracking spilled or wasted items to reduce loss and maintain inventory accuracy. Bartenders assist in stocking the bar with necessary supplies such as liquor, beer, wine, mixers, glassware, garnishes, and fresh-cut fruit, as well as conducting regular inventories to ensure optimal par levels are maintained. Job Requirements
- Health permit or food safety and alcohol awareness certification
- must provide proof of certification prior to first day of employment
- minimum one year experience as a bartender or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to verify age of guests for alcohol purchases
