Job Requirements

  • Health permit or food safety and alcohol awareness certification
  • must provide proof of certification prior to first day of employment
  • minimum one year experience as a bartender or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to verify age of guests for alcohol purchases
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • able to follow recipes and procedures accurately
  • able to handle cash responsibly
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation practices
  • willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • One to three years experience as a bartender in a high-volume environment preferred
  • knowledge of beverage preparation and service
  • strong customer service and communication skills
  • proficiency in operating point-of-sale systems
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • knowledge of responsible alcohol service policies
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • food safety and alcohol awareness certification
  • health permit or equivalent required

Job Duties

  • Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and staff
  • verifies all guests purchasing alcohol are at least 21 years old
  • follows established recipes and procedures in beverage preparation
  • utilizes full knowledge of food and beverage products and employs suggestive selling techniques
  • takes orders and delivers food and beverages promptly
  • operates point-of-sale system efficiently and handles large amounts of currency
  • practices proper cash handling procedures and organizes money accurately
  • tracks spilled or wasted items
  • assists with stocking the bar including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, glassware, and garnishes
  • conducts inventory of all liquor and bar supplies
  • provides immediate, friendly, and personalized service to guests
  • handles guest questions and complaints or directs them to management
  • follows proper ordering procedures to maintain par levels
  • maintains high knowledge of company products and events and establishes rapport with guests
  • adheres to responsible alcohol service policies
  • follows safety and sanitation practices and reports accidents
  • performs additional duties as assigned or directed by management
  • follows all company policies and procedures
