Job Requirements
- Health permit or food safety and alcohol awareness certification
- must provide proof of certification prior to first day of employment
- minimum one year experience as a bartender or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to verify age of guests for alcohol purchases
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- able to follow recipes and procedures accurately
- able to handle cash responsibly
- knowledge of safety and sanitation practices
- willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- One to three years experience as a bartender in a high-volume environment preferred
- knowledge of beverage preparation and service
- strong customer service and communication skills
- proficiency in operating point-of-sale systems
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- knowledge of responsible alcohol service policies
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- food safety and alcohol awareness certification
- health permit or equivalent required
Job Duties
- Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and staff
- verifies all guests purchasing alcohol are at least 21 years old
- follows established recipes and procedures in beverage preparation
- utilizes full knowledge of food and beverage products and employs suggestive selling techniques
- takes orders and delivers food and beverages promptly
- operates point-of-sale system efficiently and handles large amounts of currency
- practices proper cash handling procedures and organizes money accurately
- tracks spilled or wasted items
- assists with stocking the bar including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, glassware, and garnishes
- conducts inventory of all liquor and bar supplies
- provides immediate, friendly, and personalized service to guests
- handles guest questions and complaints or directs them to management
- follows proper ordering procedures to maintain par levels
- maintains high knowledge of company products and events and establishes rapport with guests
- adheres to responsible alcohol service policies
- follows safety and sanitation practices and reports accidents
- performs additional duties as assigned or directed by management
- follows all company policies and procedures
