Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, or move stock and boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying climates
  • Full availability for any shift including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events preferred
  • Valid TABC server permit required
  • Cashier certification obtained during department training

Job Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age or older
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Must be proficient in basic mathematics
  • Alcohol Awareness Training (TABC)
  • Previous bartending experience of 1-2 years
  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to own and resolve guest situations
  • Some computer experience working with POS systems

Job Duties

  • Observe proper sanitation guidelines at all times
  • Perform clean-up duties before, during, and after shifts
  • Report to work on time and follow sick leave and vacation policies
  • Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks following standard recipes
  • Serve multiple guests including those at the bar and servers at stations
  • Operate bar and restaurant equipment and follow sanitation procedures
  • Order or requisition liquor and supplies
  • Set up tables with glassware, napkins, fruit, and garnishes
  • Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
  • Serve food and beverages at proper temperatures
  • Share knowledge of wines and spirits with guests
  • Articulate menu options and ingredients with guests
  • Assist guests with directions, entertainment, and event schedules
  • Clear tables and perform pre-bussing duties
  • Use POS system to enter orders, collect money, and maintain cash drawer
  • Complete assigned side work at shift start and end
  • Maintain an organized cash register for sales
  • Exhibit a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude toward team members and guests
