Job Requirements
- must be at least 18 years of age
- ability to work days, nights, and/or weekends as required
- ability to work in environments with both hot and cold temperatures
- ability to work in noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions
- ability to read and write handwritten notes
- ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- ability to move about facility and stand for long periods
- ability to walk or stand 100% of shift
- ability to reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently
- adhere to company sanitation and safety procedures
Job Qualifications
- restaurant and/or bar experience preferred but not required
- skilled in effectively communicating with guests to generate enthusiasm about the Dave & Buster's experience
- ability to read and communicate in English
- friendly and able to smile frequently
- ability to work in noisy, fast-paced environments
- knowledge of proper dress code requirements
- ability to operate Micros system and handle money accurately
- ability to follow recipes and company procedures
- strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
Job Duties
- deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun
- keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
- create a warm, fun atmosphere for guests and team members
- adhere to company sanitation procedures
- maintain responsibility for personal bank and ensure all financial transactions are accurate
- follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests
- assess guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a manager
- follow all bar recipes to deliver a consistent product, control costs, and maximize guest satisfaction
- keep station clean, set up and take down station tables appropriately
- greet newly seated guests in a friendly and timely manner
- accurately take guests’ food and drink orders
- maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation
- enter orders into Micros quickly and in proper sequence
- complete station side work at the beginning and end of shift
- operate Micros, make changes, conduct credit card transactions, and account for all monies at shift end
- ensure food is properly garnished and delivers trays to designated bar areas and other sections as needed
- work quickly and efficiently adhering to "Full hands in, Full hands out" philosophy
- participate in incentives and contests
- complete bar inventories and daily requisition sheets
- complete opening/closing duties timely
- assist in party setup and breakdown
- assist other team members as needed
- buss and reset tables
- ensure ongoing guest satisfaction by checking back after delivery of food and responding to guest needs timely
- maintain a favorable working relationship with all company team members
- listen to hear guests’ orders and needs and communicate verbally and via Micros system
- be friendly and able to smile frequently
- demonstrate effective communication skills
- adhere to dress code
- work in noisy, fast-paced environment
- be at least 18 years of age
