Job Requirements

  • One year of prior bartending experience preferred
  • Prior guest relations training
  • Proper food safety training and certification as described by law
  • Experience working with POS systems such as Toast, Micros, Aloha, and reservation software like Toast
  • Strong knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
  • Knowledge of proper food handling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive upbeat attitude and personality
  • Punctuality and reliable attendance
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and courtesy
  • Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
  • Willingness to work flexible hours such as mornings, nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
  • Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
  • Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
  • Plan and present bar menu
  • Check customers identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • Comply with all food and beverage, health and safety regulations
  • Demonstrate superior knowledge of classic cocktails and efficiently create them
  • Provide outstanding communication and customer service
  • Check in with clientele to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area, including glassware and silverware
  • Complete opening and closing duties and follow standards
  • Adhere to cash handling policies, process credit card charges, and provide accurate bills
  • Manage pour-cost control, participate in inventory, and maintain adequate par levels
  • Perform other duties as assigned
