Job Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- complete basic food handling training and obtain any local or state mandated certification or food handlers permit where required
- complete a safe alcohol service training program
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- regular and consistent attendance
- energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
- accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- effective communication skills in English
- ability to work independently and in a team
- ability to follow directions
- respond with urgency
- physically able to perform frequent bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and walking for extended periods
- able to work in a moderate to high noise environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in a high-volume bar environment preferred
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to provide excellent guest service
- strong cash handling and basic math skills
- ability to work in a team environment and independently
- ability to follow direction
- ability to respond with a sense of urgency
- fluent in English
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- possess full knowledge of bar and menu items and make recommendations
- accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
- ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
- consistently use suggestive selling techniques
- collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
- deliver food and beverage orders within established time frames
- process payment for completed guest orders
- maintain appropriate stock levels for the bar
- assist the general manager on duty with placing orders for all liquor and bar related supplies
- consistently wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas
- properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
- adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- monitor safety and security issues and report issues to management
- perform other work-related duties as assigned
