Job Requirements

  • Must be 21+ years of age in order to serve alcoholic beverages
  • previous experience as a bartender in a restaurant or bar setting
  • knowledge of drink recipes, mixing techniques, and drink presentation
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to handle cash transactions and use POS systems
  • familiarity with local alcohol regulations
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume periods
  • attention to detail and excellent multitasking abilities
  • flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • take drink orders, provide recommendations, and engage in conversation to enhance the overall customer experience
  • verify the age of customers to ensure they meet legal requirements for alcohol service
  • adhere to local and state laws regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages
  • monitor customer behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent overconsumption
  • refuse service to customers showing signs of intoxication and handle such situations diplomatically
  • have a comprehensive understanding of the drink menu, including specials and promotions
  • educate customers on different types of beverages and make suggestions based on their preferences
  • prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, and wines, according to established recipes and customer preferences
  • ensure the accurate measurement of ingredients and maintain consistency in drink quality
  • stay updated on current trends in mixology and experiment with new recipes
  • collaborate with colleagues to create and develop unique drink offerings
  • maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware, utensils, and equipment
  • ensure that the bar is well-stocked with necessary supplies and ingredients
  • communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food and drink orders
  • ensure timely service by working closely with the serving staff
