Job Requirements
- Have current Illinois food handler’s and BASSETT certifications, or be willing to obtain those within seven days of hire
- be able to stand, walk, reach, bend, etc. for extended periods of time
- be able to lift up to 35 pounds
- have basic math and computer skills
- be available to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, weekends, and late hours
Job Qualifications
- Exhibit a working knowledge of bar equipment, standard drink recipes, and spirits, wine and beer
- understand classes of alcohol, different glasses, brand names, and garnishments
- demonstrate knowledge of state and local alcohol serving laws
- possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle difficult situations with poise
- demonstrate strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- possess or be willing to obtain relevant food handling and BASSET certifications within seven days of hire
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with club standards
- maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area
- interact with members and guests, taking orders, and ensuring they feel valued and appreciated
- offer menu recommendations and answer any questions related to beverages
- ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- process payments and handle transactions accurately and securely
- maintain a positive and professional demeanor
- stay up to date with mixology trends and introduce new ideas to enhance the beverage menu
