Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous bartending experience preferred
- ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- strong customer service skills
- basic math skills for handling transactions
- capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
- ability to multitask and prioritize duties
- knowledge of alcohol safety and beverage regulations
Job Qualifications
- must be dressed neatly and well groomed in company approved uniform at all times
- must be able to operate POS system, make change correctly and make credit card transactions
- must be able to calmly respond to angry guests and notify a manager
- must be able to pass bar validation
- must be able to respond clearly to guests’ requests
- must be able to hear well amongst loud background noise
- must be able to frequently lift 30 lb. cases and carry short distances, up or down stairs
Job Duties
- ID all guests ordering alcoholic beverages who appear to be 40 years old or younger
- maintains a warm, welcoming, "Corner Bar" atmosphere
- properly and promptly prepare, garnish, and serve drinks to guests
- provides a personal touch to repeat guests such as learning names and favorite drinks
- coordinate food orders from guests seated in the bar area with the kitchen
- learn the menu and make recommendations when appropriate
- upsells guests on food or drink items where appropriate
- keeps a clean, organized bar area
- accurately rings up all orders in the POS system
- follow all relevant brand standards for service
