Job Requirements
- must be at least 21 years of age
- work days, nights, and/or weekends as required
- work in environments with hot and cold temperatures such as freezers and around cooking equipment
- work in noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
- read and write handwritten notes
- lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- move about facility and stand for long periods of time
- walk or stand 100% of shift
- reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently
Job Qualifications
- restaurant and/or bar experience preferred but not required
- ability to communicate effectively with guests to generate enthusiasm about the Dave & Buster’s experience
- must be able to read and communicate in English
- friendly and able to smile frequently
- understanding of food and drink menu items
- basic math skills for handling transactions
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- adherence to company sanitation and safety policies
- ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Job Duties
- deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun
- keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
- create a warm, fun atmosphere for guests and team members
- adhere to company’s sanitation procedures
- maintain responsibility for personal bank and ensure all financial transactions are accurate
- follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication
- assess guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a manager
- follow all bar recipes to deliver a consistent product and control costs
- keep station clean, set up and take down station tables appropriately
- greet newly seated guests in a friendly and timely manner
- accurately take guests’ food and drink orders
- maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and answer questions regarding food and drink
- enter orders into Micros quickly and correctly
- be responsible for all sales on personal Micros keys and complete station side work
- demonstrate ability to operate Micros and conduct credit card transactions accurately
- ensure food is properly garnished and delivered to designated areas
- work quickly and efficiently adhering to “Full hands in, Full hands out” philosophy
- participate in incentives and contests driving sales and promoting the brand
- complete bar inventories and daily requisition sheets
- complete opening/closing duties timely
- assist in party set up and breakdown
- assist other team members as needed
- buss and reset tables
- ensure ongoing guest satisfaction by checking back, maintaining drink levels, removing clutter, pre-bussing as necessary
- maintain a favorable working relationship with all team members
- listen and communicate with guests and team members verbally and via Micros system
- be friendly and smile frequently
- comply with dress code and professionalism standards
- work in noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions
- must be at least 21 years old
