Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years bartending experience
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for 8 to 10 hour shifts
  • Ability to walk, reach, bend, stoop and wipe to perform essential job functions
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 40 pounds and place items on high and low shelves
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
  • Must adhere to all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
  • Must be able to read, speak and understand English to communicate with guests and take orders
  • Must attend Alcohol Awareness training program
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to legally serve alcoholic beverages

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years bartending experience
  • Knowledge of drink recipes and liquor, beer, and wine
  • Basic mathematical skills to operate cash register, make change, total guest checks, and prepare cash drops
  • Ability to read, speak and understand English
  • Ability to work well with or without direct supervision
  • Food Handling, CPR, First Aid certificates (preferable)
  • Completion of Alcohol Awareness training program

Job Duties

  • Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis including requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce
  • Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to insure product quality
  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document orders for drinks
  • Mix, garnish and present drinks ensuring standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control
  • Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest and personnel guests to maintain accountability of all beverages served in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Receive payment from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and insure vouchers are properly executed to balance all moneys
  • Lock up and store all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure bank
  • Keep bar neat and clean and display glasses and liquors attractively
  • Maintain pleasant atmosphere in bar, refuse to serve drunk or unruly patrons and have them ejected if necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned such as assisting security with disorderly guests and other projects assigned by management
