Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years bartending experience
- Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for 8 to 10 hour shifts
- Ability to walk, reach, bend, stoop and wipe to perform essential job functions
- Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 40 pounds and place items on high and low shelves
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
- Must adhere to all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
- Must be able to read, speak and understand English to communicate with guests and take orders
- Must attend Alcohol Awareness training program
- Must be at least 21 years of age to legally serve alcoholic beverages
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years bartending experience
- Knowledge of drink recipes and liquor, beer, and wine
- Basic mathematical skills to operate cash register, make change, total guest checks, and prepare cash drops
- Ability to read, speak and understand English
- Ability to work well with or without direct supervision
- Food Handling, CPR, First Aid certificates (preferable)
- Completion of Alcohol Awareness training program
Job Duties
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis including requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce
- Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to insure product quality
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promote and document orders for drinks
- Mix, garnish and present drinks ensuring standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control
- Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest and personnel guests to maintain accountability of all beverages served in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Receive payment from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and insure vouchers are properly executed to balance all moneys
- Lock up and store all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure bank
- Keep bar neat and clean and display glasses and liquors attractively
- Maintain pleasant atmosphere in bar, refuse to serve drunk or unruly patrons and have them ejected if necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned such as assisting security with disorderly guests and other projects assigned by management
