Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages
- must successfully complete restaurant training course
- excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- ability to multitask
- well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately
- ability to operate point-of-sale systems
- previous experience as a bartender preferred
Job Duties
- Greet customers as they are seated at the bar
- ensure the area is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided as needed
- distribute menus and present the daily specials
- answer questions regarding the menu and bar
- take food and beverage orders and deliver them to the kitchen
- deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers
- ensure that food is prepared correctly and to customers' satisfaction
- return incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen
- collect plates and clear the area as customers finish their meals
- prepare customers' checks and collect payments
- assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the bar area and preparing silverware and condiments
- restock bar area and perform other related duties as assigned
