Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages
  • must successfully complete restaurant training course
  • excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • ability to multitask
  • well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately
  • ability to operate point-of-sale systems
  • previous experience as a bartender preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet customers as they are seated at the bar
  • ensure the area is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided as needed
  • distribute menus and present the daily specials
  • answer questions regarding the menu and bar
  • take food and beverage orders and deliver them to the kitchen
  • deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers
  • ensure that food is prepared correctly and to customers' satisfaction
  • return incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen
  • collect plates and clear the area as customers finish their meals
  • prepare customers' checks and collect payments
  • assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the bar area and preparing silverware and condiments
  • restock bar area and perform other related duties as assigned
