Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- Prior bar service experience required
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Must have a friendly and engaging demeanor
- High school degree or GED preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Ability to build positive relationships with guests and coworkers
- Ability to adhere to all state and federal alcohol service laws.
Job Qualifications

- ServeSafe Alcohol Certification a plus
- Reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills required
- Bi-lingual experience a plus

- Ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times.
Job Duties
- Serves food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner
- Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Applebee's recipes
- Interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- Greets guests, answers questions, makes suggestions regarding food, drinks, and specials
- Completes assigned opening and closing side work as directed
- Slices fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks
- Presents guest checks to bar patrons, makes correct change and/or completes credit card transactions
- Processes employee and manager food orders
- Relays food orders to kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system accurately and timely
- Manages service of alcohol in compliance with state and federal laws and company policies
- Participates in clearing and resetting the bar area
- Occasionally serves guests in Carside To-Go service as scheduled
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- Drives sales with suggestive selling techniques
- Participates in local store marketing to increase bar traffic and overall restaurant sales
- Removes trash from the bar service area to the dumpster.
