- prior bar service experience
- reliable transportation required

- reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required

- high school degree or GED preferred

Job Duties
- Serves food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner
- mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and fruit juice to prepare beverages according to Applebee's recipes
- interacts verbally with bar guests to create a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- greets guests, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and drinks
- completes assigned opening and closing side work
- slices fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks
- presents guest checks and handles cash or credit transactions
- processes employee and manager food orders
- relays food orders to kitchen via point-of-sale system accurately and timely
- manages alcohol service according to laws, company, and brand policies
- participates in clearing and resetting the bar
- occasionally serves guests in Carside To-Go service
- maintains clean and organized work area
- explains and demonstrates use of tabletop electronic devices
- drives sales with suggestive selling techniques
- participates in local store marketing
- removes trash from bar service area to dumpster
