Job Requirements

  • Be able to write and speak English
  • Must have appropriate city, state and federal certifications for alcohol and food handling
  • Minimum 2-3 years restaurant experience with at least 1 year bartending experience
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • Willingness to ask questions for clarification
  • Experience operating POS or host systems
  • Ability to lead, inspire and motivate team members
  • Dependability and reliability
  • Experience in multi-cultural work environment
  • Flexibility for weekend and holiday shifts
  • Physical capability to stand long periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years restaurant experience preferably in high-volume atmospheres
  • At least 1 year bartending experience
  • Outstanding and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to read and write simple correspondence
  • Experience with POS or host systems such as OpenTable
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate team spirit
  • Dependable and reliable work ethic
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and safely maneuver in a restaurant environment

Job Duties

  • Serve guests in a professional and positive manner including guest food and beverage orders and delivery
  • Utilize JINYA’s steps of service and up-selling techniques while providing proper menu knowledge
  • Greet guests, manage seating and reservations or wait-list times
  • Make drinks to JINYA standards following specifications and recipes
  • Embrace and participate in JINYA’s company culture and greetings
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members
  • Ensure cleanliness of bar area and guest-visible sections
  • Support front of house operations such as refilling beverages and resetting tables
  • Respond to minor guest complaints and alert management of serious issues
  • Promote and execute JINYA’s core values
  • Complete projects or tasks as assigned by management
