This position is for a Bartender responsible for all aspects of alcohol beverage service during events at a hospitality establishment specializing in event hosting and catering. The Bartender plays a crucial role in ensuring that alcoholic beverage services are delivered according to company standards while maintaining a friendly, professional, and welcoming atmosphere for guests. Job Requirements

  • must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • must be able to talk clearly and hear responses
  • must have the ability to receive detailed information through hearing and to make discriminations in sound
  • must be able to stand, walk, crouch, and climb stairs
  • must be able to reach, grasp and finger objects and operate business equipment
  • manual dexterity required for keyboard functions and repetitive motions
  • minimum visual acuity requirements include reading numbers, printed instructions and video display terminals
  • must be able to exert weights of up to one hundred (100) pounds of force occasionally and twenty (20) pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
  • employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • five years of food service bar experience or certificate in bartending service training
  • ability to manage all functions of a bar operation
  • ability to work under pressure to service guests
  • must be able to work well with all levels of employees and with guests
  • requires a high level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • requires a high degree of organizational skills as well as a self-starting ability
  • ability to remain flexible and provide open communication both to staff and management
  • must have high level of integrity and professionalism
  • must have Responsible Alcohol Beverage Service certificate or equivalent

Job Duties

  • bar set-up and preparation of inventory for each event
  • serving guests during events according to schedule (host or no-host bar)
  • bar clean-up and re-stocking at end of events
  • bar POS system close-out at the end of each shift
  • inventory control
  • cash control
  • collaborating with event staff to maintain guest service
