Job Requirements
- 1-2 years experience in bartending preferred
- previous experience with Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi and sake preferred
- basic understanding of wine, spirits and sake preferred
- must be certified in Responsible Alcohol Service by applicable agency
- must be 21 years of age or older based on state law
- high school diploma or GED preferred

Job Duties
- Promptly greet guests
- take beverage orders from restaurant servers or directly from guests
- prepare beverage orders according to server tickets
- mix alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails and other beverages as requested
- check identification of guests to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase
- notify management of underage or intoxicated guests
- ring up drink and food orders in POS system
- collect payment and follow cash handling procedures
- ensure bar area is stocked with tools and products
- report defective products or equipment
- offer and serve food items to bar guests
- demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions
- perform routine cleaning, setup and breakdown of bar
- wash and sterilize glassware and maintain attractive display
- complete daily and weekly cleaning and side work
- participate in scheduled catering events
- perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
