Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years of age
  • must be able to work days, nights, and/or weekends as required
  • must be able to work in environments with both hot and cold temperatures
  • must be able to work in a noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
  • must be able to read and write handwritten notes
  • must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • must be able to move about facility and stand for long periods of time
  • must be able to walk or stand 100 percent of shift
  • must be able to reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently

Job Qualifications

  • restaurant and/or bar experience preferred but not required
  • must be skilled in effectively communicating with guests to generate enthusiasm about the Dave & Buster’s experience
  • must be able to read and communicate in English
  • ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to work well in a team setting
  • basic proficiency with POS systems preferred
  • friendly and professional demeanor
  • ability to stand and walk for 100 percent of the shift
  • ability to follow company dress code and appearance standards

Job Duties

  • deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun
  • keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
  • create a warm, fun atmosphere for guests and team members
  • adhere to company’s sanitation procedures
  • maintain responsibility for personal bank and ensure all financial transactions are accurate by operating credit card machines correctly, calculating and returning appropriate change, and maintaining adequate cash and coin for making change
  • follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests
  • assess guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a manager
  • follow all bar recipes to deliver a consistent product, control costs, and maximize guest satisfaction
  • greet newly seated guests in a friendly and timely manner
  • accurately take guests’ food and drink orders
  • maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation
  • enter orders into Micros quickly and in proper sequence, using appropriate modifications and charges
  • complete station side work at the beginning and end of shifts
  • demonstrate ability to operate Micros, make changes, conduct credit card transactions, and account for all monies at the end of each shift
  • ensure food is properly garnished and deliver trays to designated bar areas and restaurant sections
  • work quickly and efficiently adhering to “full hands in, full hands out” philosophy
  • participate in all incentives and contests, driving sales and promoting the brand
  • complete bar inventories and daily requisition sheets as requested
  • complete opening and closing duties in a timely manner
  • assist in party setup and breakdown
  • assist other team members as needed or dictated by business
  • buss and reset tables as needed
  • ensure ongoing guest satisfaction by checking back after delivery of food, maintaining drink levels, removing clutter, pre-bussing as necessary, and responding to guest needs
  • maintain favorable working relationships with all company team members to promote cooperation and high morale
  • listen to hear guests’ orders and needs and communicate with guests and team members verbally and via Micros system
  • be friendly and able to smile frequently
  • work in noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
  • participate actively in the brand experience
