Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in beverage service or hospitality preferred
- basic mathematical and English skills
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- good manual dexterity
- valid Food Handler Card
- knowledge of local liquor laws
- ability to follow safety procedures
- good interpersonal skills
- neat and clean appearance
- ability to handle cash and use POS systems
Job Qualifications
- hold a current Food Handler Card
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
- basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and manage financial transactions
- basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
- sufficient manual dexterity for cutting garnishes and handling glassware
- basic English language proficiency for customer communication
- ability to comprehend and apply product labeling instructions
- ability to remember and promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment
- ability to transport up to 30 pounds safely
- knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor laws
Job Duties
- Serve beverages and food to guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner
- greet guests courteously and promote drink orders
- mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- maintain daily bar setup including requisition and stocking of supplies
- maintain stock, cut and store fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables
- handle cash transactions, verify charges, record and balance all money
- lock up beverages, food and equipment, secure cash deposits
- answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders, input orders into register
- perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards
- follow company policies and safety procedures
- know fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilize protective equipment
- report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisor
- maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- assist other beverage personnel as needed
- comply with liquor regulations on serving alcohol
- hold valid Food Handler Card
- operate beverage equipment
- transport items weighing up to 30 pounds
- engage in constant standing and walking
- perform frequent twisting, bending, and reaching
