Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum two years bartending experience
  • completion of approved California Responsible Beverage Service Training Program
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • reliability and strong work ethic

  • knowledge of drink recipes and beverage types

  • familiarity with local liquor laws and compliance policies

Job Duties

  • Take orders, prepare drinks, bus tables, manage multiple tabs, and process payments
  • execute opening and closing duties, such as restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, and napkins
  • ensure the bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer
  • check taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly, making minor repairs or changing out kegs, if needed
  • keep the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles
  • know all drink recipes including garnish, glassware to be used and specific service, and consistently use these recipes during production
  • know all spirited beverages, beers, and wines by the glass, on tap, and by the bottle
  • remain aware of all local liquor laws as well as company and departmental policies regarding consumption of alcoholic beverages
  • assist restaurant managers with end of month inventory and day to day inventory control
  • alert management to any problems with stocking, storage, and delivery of product
  • maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that enables getting along with guests, vendors, co-workers and management
  • lift up to 50lbs
  • perform additional duties as requested by your manager
