Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • Must have knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor laws
  • Must hold a current Food Handler Card
  • Basic knowledge of drink preparation and beverage service
  • Basic math skills necessary for cash handling
  • Basic English language proficiency for communication and documentation
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Manual dexterity to prepare garnishes
  • Ability to follow safety and security protocols
  • Neat, clean and well-groomed appearance

Job Duties

  • Serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner
  • Prepare beverages for other servers
  • Act as cashier for the lounge
  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Promote and document orders for drinks
  • Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes
  • Maintain proper and adequate bar setup
  • Requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, condiments and produce
  • Maintain stock, cut and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes daily
  • Receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges and record transactions
  • Lock up and store beverages, food and equipment
  • Deposit cash drops and secure bank
  • Answer bar phone courteously and take room service orders
  • Input orders into register at point of sale and create guest checks
  • Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Follow safety and security procedures
  • Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Use protective equipment
  • Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries or property damage
  • Maintain neat and clean appearance
  • Perform related duties as requested
  • Assist other beverage personnel when needed
  • Comply with state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
  • Hold current Food Handler Card
  • Possess basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
