Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior bartending or relevant food and beverage experience preferred
  • Availability to work 4-6 hour shifts including some weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Legal authorization to work in Detroit, Michigan
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced live entertainment environment
  • Ability to learn and operate electronic point of sale systems

Job Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of cocktails, beer varieties, wine varieties, soda varieties
  • Basic allergy knowledge
  • Experience with electronic point of sale systems such as Square, MICROS, Zonal, NCR, Aloha
  • Ability to work without sitting for extended periods
  • Ability to lift boxes up to 50 pounds
  • Strong time management skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Stress management and problem-solving abilities

Job Duties

  • Serve the entire food and beverage menu to theatre guests
  • Accommodate all guests' orders focusing on efficiency, quality, and graciousness
  • Work from all bar points of sale including kiosks, main bars, and coffee bars
  • Use all available tools and machinery for service
  • Exemplify professional, ethical, and responsible behavior at all times
  • Report directly to the Food and Beverage Manager
  • Maintain a welcoming and guest-focused attitude
