Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to read signs and follow simple oral and written instructions
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to pass a background check including credit history report and meet corporate minimum requirements
- Must obtain ABO Card and LATC Permit
- NON-SLIP SHOES required
- At least one year experience as bartender in restaurants with banquet facilities, convention centers or arenas
- Ability to work flexible schedules including long, irregular hours, weekends, holidays and evenings
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Physical ability to lift 45 pounds unaided and stand for long periods
- Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area following sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older

- One or two years experience as a bartender in high-volume restaurants, banquet facilities, or similar venues preferred
- Experience with upscale dining or convention center environments preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Good oral communication and effective English language skills
- Knowledge of popular mixed drink recipes and preparation methods
- Mature judgment and professionalism
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions
- Ability to operate cash register and credit card machines
Job Duties
- Provide total guest satisfaction through skilled and capable service in accordance with Shreveport Convention Center/Municipal Auditorium standards
- Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks following standard recipes
- Serve wine and draught or bottled beer
- Collect money for drinks served
- Arrange bottles and glasses to create attractive displays
- Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
- Maintain cleanliness of bar area
- Ensure attention to detail and consistency in all service aspects
- Interact constantly with customers and take orders
- Verify customer identification to comply with alcohol purchase age requirements
- Input sales with POS system and accurately handle payments
- Monitor, restock bar inventory and maintain inventory sheets
- Balance cash receipts at event conclusion
- Comply with all inventory control measures and safety regulations
- Break down bar and store supplies after functions
- Maintain professional appearance and relationships
- Follow all Louisiana state alcohol regulations and company policies
- Adhere to direction from Captain and Management at all times
