Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a bartender
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to handle cash and operate a P.O.S. system

Job Qualifications

  • Proven working experience as a bartender
  • Excellent knowledge and experience mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
  • Experience operating P.O.S. system, making change correctly and processing credit card transactions
  • Must have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to frequently immerse hands in hot and cold water
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Must be able to hear well in an environment with loud background noise

Job Duties

  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and dining room
  • Keep the bar organized, stocked and clean at all times
  • Interact with customers, take drink and food orders
  • Have a strong knowledge of all menu items and prices
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • Upsell guests on food or drink items when appropriate
  • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations
  • Follow all relevant brand standards for service
  • Strictly adheres to responsible alcohol service standards and is able to successfully “slow down a guest” or cut off an intoxicated guest when necessary
  • Process payments and shift end cash out procedure
  • Perform general cleaning duties throughout shift and at closing
  • Must be dressed neatly and be well-groomed
  • Must wear company approved uniform at all times
