Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a bartender
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle cash and operate a P.O.S. system
Job Qualifications
- Proven working experience as a bartender
- Excellent knowledge and experience mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Experience operating P.O.S. system, making change correctly and processing credit card transactions
- Must have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Must be able to frequently immerse hands in hot and cold water
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must be able to hear well in an environment with loud background noise
Job Duties
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and dining room
- Keep the bar organized, stocked and clean at all times
- Interact with customers, take drink and food orders
- Have a strong knowledge of all menu items and prices
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Upsell guests on food or drink items when appropriate
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
- Follow all relevant brand standards for service
- Strictly adheres to responsible alcohol service standards and is able to successfully “slow down a guest” or cut off an intoxicated guest when necessary
- Process payments and shift end cash out procedure
- Perform general cleaning duties throughout shift and at closing
- Must be dressed neatly and be well-groomed
- Must wear company approved uniform at all times
