Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Serve beverages and food to guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner
  • Prepare beverages for other servers
  • Act as cashier for the lounge
  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Promote and document orders for drinks
  • Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
  • Maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily
  • Requisition and stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments and produce
  • Maintain stock, cut and store fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables
  • Receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges and record transactions
  • Lock up and store beverages, food and equipment
  • Deposit cash drops and secure bank
  • Answer bar phone within three rings
  • Take room service orders and input into register
  • Perform general cleaning tasks
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Follow safety and security procedures and rules
  • Know fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Use protective equipment
  • Report unsafe conditions to supervisor
  • Report accidents, injuries, near-misses or property loss
  • Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • Perform related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
  • Assist other beverage personnel when needed
