- prior bartending or restaurant server experience
- ability to prepare beverages accurately to company standards

- physical stamina for standing and moving during shifts

- ability to handle cash and operate POS systems

Job Duties
- Greet guests pleasantly as they approach the bar
- promote house drinks and food items
- utilize upselling skills whenever possible to maximize revenues
- prepare beverages according to standard operating procedures ensuring proper proportions and ingredient control
- work shifts in the restaurant as server
- use POS system accurately to collect money and make change
- stock bar and beer cooler area as required
- keep bar and beer cooler area neat and orderly including sanitation practices and washing glasses
- recognize intoxicated guests and act accordingly
- serve food to customers around the bar
- keep liquor at par levels and order products using bottle-for-bottle control system
- complete nightly liquor list
- follow all opening and closing procedures
- maintain continuity of guest satisfaction through communication with wait staff
- prepare fruit for garnishing drinks
- monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when to cease service and notify management of incidents
- check identification to ensure compliance with age requirements and follow state and local laws on alcohol service
