Job Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods up to 8+ hours
  • Perform repetitive motions such as shaking, stirring, and polishing
  • Lift and carry up to 35-50 lbs including cases and kegs
  • Frequent reaching, bending, and maneuvering in tight spaces
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with variable noise and temperature
  • Use cleaning chemicals according to safety standards
  • Demonstrate responsible alcohol service and age-verification adherence
  • Maintain reliable attendance and flexible scheduling

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2+ years of bartending experience in upscale casual, casual-fine, or high-volume environments
  • Strong classic-cocktail technique and spirits, wine, beer knowledge
  • WSET, Cicerone, or TIPS certification is a plus
  • Excellent communication, pace management, and guest-recovery skills
  • Food Handler and Responsible Alcohol Service certifications or ability to obtain
  • Reliable attendance and schedule flexibility including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Welcome guests, present menus, and make thoughtful, personalized recommendations
  • Navigate allergies and dietary restrictions accurately
  • Build checks with integrity through pairings, features, and upselling that fits the guest's preferences
  • Provide timely, attentive service at the bar and to service-well tickets
  • Guide guests through cocktail, wine, and spirit selections with confident, honest recommendations
  • Prepare cocktails to exact specs, measurements, and techniques
  • Complete daily bar prep including juices, syrups, infusions, garnishes, and keg/CO2 checks
  • Maintain bar cleanliness, organization, and service readiness
  • Follow accurate pouring and measurement to protect cost of goods sold
  • Assist with inventory counts, requisitions, transfers, and receiving
  • Adhere to comps, voids, and discount procedures
  • Comply with health codes and clean-as-you-go practices
  • Enforce responsible alcohol service and age-verification
  • Coordinate with team on timing, coursing, and guest needs
  • Participate in pre-shift lineups, tastings, and ongoing training
  • Use POS accurately for order and payment management
