Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of bartending experience in similar establishment
- Previous cash handling experience
- Working knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail while meeting business demands
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Obtain Nevada gaming license, TAM and food handlers cards
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of previous experience as a bartender in similar establishment
- Previous cash handling experience
- Working knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, mixing of drinks, designated glassware, preparation methods, garnishes, and all beverage functions
- Working knowledge of liquor laws and regulations concerning service of alcoholic beverages
- Working knowledge of operation of all bar equipment
- General understanding of specialty drinks, wine, and fine spirits
- Excellent customer service skills
- Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Able to effectively communicate in English in both written and oral forms
- Obtain Nevada gaming license, TAM and food handler cards
Job Duties
- Take orders and serve food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable
- Collect money while following all proper cash handling and comp procedures
- Place orders and garnish and serve cocktails to guests
- Follow all proper comp procedures
- Keep tables, slot banks, and work areas neat and orderly by removing glassware, dishware, ashtrays, and other items no longer in use
- Promote and maintain the highest level of service to all guests while staying alert to their needs and respond effectively to guest inquiries
- Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority
- otherwise refer the matter to management
- complete opening and closing duties including properly storing all reusable goods, removing all items from tables, placing clean items in designated areas, wiping clean all surfaces, restocking supply cabinet, and securing all storage areas
- Complete tasks such as folding and stacking cocktail napkins, stocking straws, picks, and matches
