Job Requirements
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
- Thorough knowledge of menu items and service procedures
- Ability to take direction and work in a team environment and to work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized
- This position will spend 100 percent of the time standing or walking
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs regularly
- May be required to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs occasionally
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
Job Qualifications
- Intermediate knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits
- Ability to articulate food and beverage menu items and preparation methods
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Passion for continuous learning and innovation in food and beverage
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience in high volume service environments preferred
- Knowledge of Greek, Lebanese and Turkish wines is a plus
Job Duties
- Exceed guests' expectations by providing an authentic, friendly, enthusiastic, professional culinary and beverage experience paired with impeccable service and a genuine sense of hospitality
- Maintain and oversee all aspects of the bar including a cash drawer/POS system, customer consumption and support of your front of house and back of house teammates
- Precisely prepare and execute an exciting menu of handmade cocktails
- A passion for continuous learning and discovery by embracing an active and innovative approach to expanding your knowledge of food and beverage
- Ability to articulate an appealing description of every item we offer, explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods as well as suggestive beverage pairings
- Participate in the research and development part of cocktail creations with the team
- Ability to maintain expected steps of service during high volume peak hours
- Demonstrate at least an intermediate understanding of beer, wine, and spirits
