Job Requirements

  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register and make change
  • Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items
  • Ability to read, write and speak basic English
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to handle bar tools and equipment
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Capable of using close, distance and color vision
  • Able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations

Job Qualifications

  • Professional and energetic
  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • At least one year of bar experience
  • Knowledge of spirits and wine
  • Ability to create craft artisan cocktails and specialty drinks
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to operate point of sale procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members

Job Duties

  • Make cocktails and provide exceptional guest experiences
  • Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily including requisitioning and stocking all supplies
  • Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily to ensure product quality
  • Greet guests courtesly and promote and document orders for drinks
  • Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes while practicing prudent portion control
  • Abide by all state, federal and corporate regulations regarding the serving of alcoholic beverages
  • Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create checks for each guest to maintain accountability
  • Receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record charges and ensure proper execution of vouchers
  • Lock and store all beverage, food and equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure bank
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned
