Job Requirements
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register and make change
- Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items
- Ability to read, write and speak basic English
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to work as part of a team
- Sufficient manual dexterity to handle bar tools and equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Capable of using close, distance and color vision
- Able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
Job Qualifications
- Professional and energetic
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- At least one year of bar experience
- Knowledge of spirits and wine
- Ability to create craft artisan cocktails and specialty drinks
- Hotel experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to operate point of sale procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
Job Duties
- Make cocktails and provide exceptional guest experiences
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily including requisitioning and stocking all supplies
- Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily to ensure product quality
- Greet guests courtesly and promote and document orders for drinks
- Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes while practicing prudent portion control
- Abide by all state, federal and corporate regulations regarding the serving of alcoholic beverages
- Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create checks for each guest to maintain accountability
- Receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges, record charges and ensure proper execution of vouchers
- Lock and store all beverage, food and equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure bank
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
- Perform any other job related duties as assigned
