Job Requirements

  • Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training required
  • At least one year of related experience preferred
  • Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons
  • Ability to learn cash register software used
  • Must be legal drinking age or older
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Prolonged periods standing and preparing drinks

Job Duties

  • Clean, set up, and stock the bar and all related areas as determined by manager, opening duties, service manuals and job description
  • Check the service station's bar requisitions to ensure correct set-up and cleanliness
  • Check with the manager on duty regarding any special needs
  • Follow all sequence of service guidelines according to the manual and job description
  • Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks
  • Serve wine and other draught or bottled beer
  • Collect money for drinks served
  • Order and requisition liquors and supplies
  • Place bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display
  • Clean bar and restock glasses
  • Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
  • Maintain bar cleanliness and complete daily cleaning duties
  • Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction
  • Inventory and put away the liquor in proper storage space
  • Assist the restaurant dining services when necessary
  • Assist with seating guests when necessary
  • Ensure all tables and chairs are clean for the next meal period at the end of each shift
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
