Job Requirements

  • Complete a background investigation with favorable results
  • Complete a pre-employment physical examination
  • Meet minimum age requirement for working and/or serving alcoholic beverages
  • Obtain a Food Handler's Certificate or complete food handler's training
  • U.S. citizenship or national status
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete employment verification (E-Verify) check
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
  • Direct deposit required
  • Ability to provide REAL ID or authorized combination of identity documents for base access
  • Meet all qualification, eligibility, and background requirements
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment requirements prior to entrance on duty

Job Qualifications

  • Experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients such as liquors, soda water, sugar, bitters, and fruit
  • Ability to mix exotic drinks
  • Ability to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and resolve issues or seek assistance
  • Ability to follow cash handling procedures
  • Physical ability to frequently lift 5 to 15 pounds, pull and push 10 to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to communicate clearly and deal effectively with the public

Job Duties

  • Operate a full-service bar
  • Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to order using a variety of established recipes
  • Deliver drinks to bar waiters or serve directly to patrons
  • Receive payments or charge to member's account appropriately
  • Wash glasses and bar equipment
  • Prepare garnishes for mixed drinks
  • Help stock service bar or portable bar for catered functions
  • Ensure proper operation of bar, receipts, and inventory accountability
  • Accept money, operate cash register, and make change
  • Prepare documentation for cash funds accountability when required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
